Yixing ID ... please have a look

by kuánglóng » May 17th, '17, 13:06

I picked up this little 100ml pot somewhere in Yunnan in the mid-late 90s, forgot about it and rediscovered it in one of my storage boxes some months ago.
Nothing any of you guys would get a heart attack over :) but it's actually pretty well made, high-fired, tight lid fit etc..

Any idea about it, anyone? Thanks in advance!

I don't have a lot to say other than what you probably already know. Looks like zini, med-high fired, probably made in the mid-late 90s :)

Thanks, Steanze.
I have other smaller zini pots, but this keeps amazing me with its pickiness. It's pretty hi-fired, still somewhat porous though, doesn't want to cooperate with any yancha, other roasted (or greener) oolong or sheng of any sort but seems to like some of my shu pu, not all of them though. Dang, I really wish it did a better job with traditionally or dry aged sheng, but nope.

Can any of you tell me what the inscription (or seal) on the bottom says? Thanks in advance!

Thanks, chrl42. I generally mind touristy venues like the plague but I can live with the souvenir touch :)
