Trying to Froth Amond Milk for Chai

I use almond milk and an Aerolatte brand frother stick from Bed Bath and Beyond. It doesn't froth. I'm assuming it's because it's the type of milk I'm using? Or is it the frother?
Has anyone had any luck frothing almond milk?
