I found a lot of stuff inside my pu's! Many times single white or black hair but what the actual f is this? At the end those fibers or hair gets blond like and the rest is black.
I am not sure if it is a part of the cake which also seems unlikely or if those are fibers or hair - hopefully not a feather! What is the risk of getting avian flu if it is a feather? Was there ever a case reported such a thing considering Pu-erh?
What do you think? This was the closest I could zoom.

It was a Gushu from the six famous tea mountains - I am also now quite positive it was a feather. Seems this stuff can happen but I am really not happy about it. I don't care about hair or stones but a feather especially in Asia because of avian flu...maybe I am worried to much - I already feel not well but I guess it is just because I stress myself about it. I hope it's just that.jayinhk wrote:Feathers. What kind of cake?VanFersen wrote: I found a lot of stuff inside my pu's! Many times single white or black hair but what the actual f is this? Definitely was a chicken feather - Anyway I really respect this seller and there was never a problem with its stuff before that's why I wouldn't have a good conscience telling the brands name. I don't want to give him trouble or any bad reputation - I hope you understand? It seems sometimes this can happen but still it's not very pleasant! I don't care about peoples hair, bugs or stones but chicken feathers especially from Asia - that's really gross! - But the actual Sheng was freakin amazing! I still would buy a cake of it but next time I would check it with more care before drinking it

Place that cake under the midday sun for several hours for the peace of mind. It will disintegrate any bugs, for sure.

It's not recommended to expose tea to direct sunlight, it will not only get rid of a possible virus but the taste will also be affected. If I would find a feather in my tea, I wouldn't worry and enjoy the rest of it.bagua7 wrote: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... 124334.htm

Yeah I wouldn't put pu in the direct sun either. I'll never buy any 6FTM pu. I wasn't going to anyway but now I definitely won't!beiosto wrote:It's not recommended to expose tea to direct sunlight, it will not only get rid of a possible virus but the taste will also be affected. We need to tar and feather this vendor!!! OP already has the feather so all we need now is a bucket of tar. Anyone have a spare can? If not I'll pick some up at Home Depot this weekend.

Found plenty of hair already in several HQF (a sub label of cnnp) cakes . Even before the insane price increase that was already a big disappointment for such expensive Tea

Even if to get sick of a single feather even if it was a fresh one is nearly impossible and totally impossible if it is already 9 years old and also steeped with boiling waterBef wrote: 2009 was the year or the H1N1 pandemic![]()
