Got this teapot from deceased estate auction on ebay. I dont know anything about it, can anyone help with the material,seal or provide general impression? Thank you!!

This is a 小梅椿壶（small plum blossom pot), and is probably made of 清水（Qing shui) or even 红泥（Hong ni), which can be hard to judge very accurately by photos unless we can feel it physically.
You will realise that the pot body and lid has 5 “segments”, which is derived from the 5 petals of a plum blossom. As plum blossoms flower in late winter against white snow to early spring, it is seen as symbolic of perseverance, hope, purity, and while a hardy plant, the flowers can also be delicate and almost poetically represents the transient nature of life. This makes it one of the favourite flowers of a Chinese scholar, and is one of the “4 gentlemen” and “3 friends of winter” plant.
Going by the overall shape and style, it is modern and most probably made in the 2000s. It will do well generally with most teas, though I will recommend those that are less delicate and require more retention of heat eg aged compressed green puer and not high mountain oolong. Making tea of too dark a colour in this pot may result in a dark patina developing too quickly which may not be the most attractive result. When making tea, you should use a very soft brush and lightly dust off any remaining tea or water around the flowers and branches so stains will not develop in the grooves and make the pot look “untidy”.
