This was sold to me as a 1970s best hongni clay pot from a trusted seller.
What do you see here, can you give me any advice on authenticity, quality, any Infos you might have?
Re: What yixing pot is it?
The upper inner edge is not straight and has some flaws, but the outer edge where the lid touches is flat and good.
Re: What yixing pot is it?
Need to see the inside of the lid to be sure, but seems like i could be authentic.

What were the attributes that made it seem real for you?
What would be an average price to buy this for?
Would this be a pure zhuni clay or a mixed zhuni or even not zhuni?
Does it differ from 80s factory pots and in which way?
Re: What yixing pot is it?
Definitely not Zhuni, don’t even think there were any Zhuni made in the 70s.digitalray wrote:Nice. Thank you.FBee wrote: Real

Fair price is what you are willing to pay for it. Prices also differ due to geological location. I am selling a 60s for a little over 500$, so you can guess how much less a 70s can/should be...
To recognise a real pot you will need to have studied authentic pieces in real life. Nothing that can be easily taught online. Certain tool marks are typical and the craftsmanship itself. Takes a lot of time and effort to be able to learn that...
Hongni of Factory pots was best in the 60s, still good in the 70s and then all downhill from that point on.

You can see lots of authentic 70’s pots here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/teapot2/?ref=sharedigitalray wrote:Nice. Thank you.FBee wrote: Real

Price is dependent on size and condition. I’ve seen 60ml mid 70’s sell for between $200-350.
