Hello communiTEA drinkers,
Skipping on ahead to Day 3, January 14th. We will be enjoying our Assam Melody.
A classic black tea from Assam, India!
What do you think?
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
I. Love. Assam.
It has been my favorite for years now- I love how robust it is and I love adding a bit of creamer to it. It is malty and kinda dried fruit-ish and it’s one of my favorite go-to breakfast (or anytime!) tea!

I like the traditional smell and taste this tea has, and the full mouth feel it gives while drinking it. It reminds me more of coffee then tea, in a good way, uplifting and soothing.Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
Maybe I've been spoiled by the teas from Days 1 & 2, but this didn't really hit the spot for me. It's a good cup of tea, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
I love this as a good example of a classic Assam. It is definitely malty, rich, and fragrant. I'm suddenly craving cardamom cookies and creaky rattan furniture. Weird. Anyone else getting that?
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
Day 3 tea has been my favorite so far. The assam is rich, full of flavor, and great to sip to start my day.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
This is one of my go to straight black teas. Delicious, hot or iced. I always have this on hand.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
Could definitely replace a coffee addiction. Rich and full. I liked the oily bit on top.... Can you tell I also enjoy a good bulletproof coffee? I used 1 teaspoon of Truvia and some cream. Satisfied and happy but I still will not go out of my way for a cup of black tea. Still club green, white, and herbal.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
Great tea! Definitely higher in caffeine that the previous days.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 3!
Try a 50/50 blend of Scottish Breakfast tea and Golden Monkey. I am a back and forth coffee/tea drinker and really like that combo. The Golden Monkey adds even more roundness, smoothness, and body. That combination may be the best cup of tea I've tasted, ever.isisanubis wrote:I like the traditional smell and taste this tea has, and the full mouth feel it gives while drinking it. Delicious! What a delightful cup of tea! I thoroughly enjoyed this cup of tea.

I enjoyed this tea- much more than I expected (mostly because I was out of milk and I typically drink black teas like this rather milky).Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

I definitely taste the maltiness which is very nice and compliments the sweetness well.
I agree this could easily replace coffee for those looking to cut back!

I really enjoyed this one! It was like a cozy hug. It was surprised I liked it so much, since I prefer herbal blends. The fruity subtlety is what made me enjoy it so much

Once again, coming in late. I couldn't be more thrilled at today's offering though! I opened the pouch, took a deep smell, and immediately went "Is that assam?" I adore this blend and I haven't had it in quite a while, so it was a great surprise, especially after such a long day. It was like an old friend just stopped in for a visit. There's just something about this blend - from the earthy, hay smell of the leaves, to just that warmth you get from the flavor. It's undeniably comforting. I'm just going to curl up here and relax now. See you all tomorrow.
