Cinnabar Teapot

Hi. I have this really cool teapot with a snake or dragon head with a movable tongue that comes out.

Is this authentic old and valuable?

I would appreciate any information I can get on it.

It has a stamp on the lid. It also has swastika's in the design.

All I can say is that it's really beautiful but with regards to the authenticity I think it will be best for it to be check.

It looks like a toy version of “Yu Hua Long” style teapot. I don’t know enough about cinnabar to comment on the value, but I wouldn’t use it for tea. The outside and inside look like different textures. The 2nd photo looks more like zisha.

I just got a translation of the mark from an Asian art forum.

I was told

Fan Juhua 1964-
Senior zisha craft artist (woman) in Yixing

I got a couple google hits on this name. One pot was for sale for 3k

Fake pot, don't use, could be dangerous. Doesn't worth much, but you can use it as a decoration. :D

the outside of the teapot is Chinese lacquer. so lt looks red.
