March 2nd Discussion

by Bridgette » Mar 2nd, '20, 00:00

Hello communiTEA drinkers,

Today we have Chamomile!

When steeped, these fragrant chamomile blossoms smell of freshly cut apples and produce a rich, golden cup with calming flavor and sweet, floral finish.

Is it helping you wind down and relax?

I have never brewed a chamomile tea before as my wife is quite allergic. The steeping instructions show 5-10 minutes, so I was wondering what length would be best to enjoy this sleepyboi tea. For reference, my daily drinker is early grey lavender, so "I enjoy eating flowers".

I'm super happy to finally try Adagio's Chamomile Tea.
This tea is really good! You cannot compare this to any typical teabag Chamomile, because they are so different. This tea is sweet and warm and naturally floral and and it somehow tastes like its color!

I'm not normally a huge chamomile fan, something about the smell always has a weird cardboardy note to me that I've always found kind of unpleasant.

This tea doesn't have that. I feel like I've been living a lie my whole life lmao this is a chamomile I'd actually drink.

I originally reviewed this tea over 10 years ago, saying it was the best looseleaf chamomile on the market. I updated my review about 4 years ago to register my disappointment: the tea at that time had a large number of twigs and had lost most of its nuance. It wasn't bad, but it was no longer anything like the best. I'm happy to see that they appear to have bounced back on this issue to some degree. It's difficult to say how much with such a small sample, but there seemed to be a lower ratio of twigs, and some of the nuance was back. It's still not as good as the original, but I'm happy to see that it's moving in the right direction. :D

seems to be doing the trick. may have mixed this a bit with some honey bush and pleasantly amused with the mix.
