how repair/protect chip on found chawan. also help identifying?

Found this. It has a little chip on the lip that maybe should be protected/repaired. I don't feel it when using it(so maybe ignore it?). I love the different textures on the sides of this. Inside is smooth. I love the swirly signature. Any help/thoughts about this would be appreciated. Just found it and used it and already love it. it seems to be limited to 3 pictures. all here.
