Unable to Post Topics

by Rhonda » Jun 17th, '07, 14:10

I came here and created an account because I had a question I wanted to pose to the community, but when I went into the appropriate forum it wouldn't let me start a new thread.

I think it's wonderful to have a bulletin board for communication between tea lovers and it seems a shame to only be able to use part of it. I'm going to go post my question in my second choice forum now, but really I'd have preferred to put it in the Teas/Other section.

Hi Rhonda- which thread would not let you post? I haven't encountered any problems starting a new thread in any of the forums.

PM me please :)

...Hey Xine, I seem to have encountered the same problem. I was going to do a new topic under:

TEAS>OTHER

This is what it said...

"Sorry, but only administrators can post topics in this forum."

I hope you are able to correct this. This is really the best place for this new topic.

Thanx,
Chip

Phew, I'm sorta glad someone else is having the same problem, I was beginning to think I was losing my mind :)

...well, most people say I lost my mind several years back, especially when I start weighing tea leaves with my digital scale. 8)

Hey, I had a similar problem when I started the whole "Would you go to the Tea Expo?" thread. I think I'd initially wanted to put it under "Teas->Other" and was blocked. Then I decided to try "Misc->Other" (which really was a better fit in retrospect) and it worked. So...yeah.

EDIT: Oh, wow...I should have read everyone else's posts a bit more carefully. It seems like we all have the "Teas>Other" thread in common.

I've not been able to post there either.
I pm'd Amanda in february about it, trying for a catch all pronunciation thread, but never got anything resolved.

Look at the suits posting above me, we are losing valuable tea chat! fix soon.
