Herbal Tea in a PersonaliTea Pot

by ajguzzaldo » Mar 2nd, '26, 23:40

Loose tea newbie here. I tried to brew an herbal blend in my new PersonaliTea pot. The blend is very light, so I weighed it instead of measuring by teaspoons - 3g/8oz water. The trouble is it seemed like the herbals, once hydrated, didn’t really have a lot of room for water circulation. I brewed at 212 for 5 minutes (per directions). Resulting tea was fine, but on the weaker side.

Questions - is 3g/8oz water right? Should I steep longer? Is it fine if there isn’t a ton of room in the infuser?

Thank you for your question!

You can steep for a longer period of time, or use a little less water to make the tea stronger. The ratio is correct, though. Tea is an art and a science, and everyone's tastes are different. Feel free to play with tea amounts, water amounts, water temperature, and steep time to make your perfect cup.
