Beautiful piece. Gaiwans have unique spirits.

Wow, awesome deal.

Please, let us all know how you like it once you get it.

I may have to splurge on some Dragon Tea House stuff now.

I'm on my way to purchase a gaiwan too! yay! The ones from Dragon Tea House are beautiful, but I can'ts afford it right now, so I think I'm going to get either one of the glass ones or the Jade Mist one from Red Blossom Tea Co.

I highly reccomend the Jade Mist. I have two of its silver needle counterpart, and they are very nice.

I have the Jade Mist too, and love it. It's got such thin, delicate walls and really is quite pretty. I did drop the lid once, and the glaze got a hairline crack, and my baby brother knocked it into my iron tetsubin, so now it has a chip on the rim...but I love it just the same.

Just put in the order for my Jade Mist- looking forward to it! I also bought some matcha tea from rishi, and was going to buy the one plum blossom teapot, but had to restrain myself. Damn, you online shopping!

Every tea set should have a little wabi sabi about it.

Tomasini: Definitely the gaiwan. The brother had to work to get back into my good graces. :)

Proinsias: Heh heh...looks like someone's read Hobbes's site! I just told said brother that, and I guess he must have heard 'wasabi.' A tin of the dried stuff has mysteriously appeared in my gaiwan!
