A rather annoying poll

by Chip » Jan 24th, '08, 00:49

OK, a pretty stupid poll, but...it is too quiet on the ITD

I was suddenly aware how annoying someone's avatar was to me, actually two of them. Just wondered if it was only me. Or if anyone had another.

The all time trick avatar for TeaChat has to be Libertatis who had just about every guy on the forum drooling and thinking the pic was Libertatis. Finally we know Libertatis is not only not the subject of the avatar, but she is actually a he. Ed, of course figured it out before anyone based on Libertatis' disclosure of smoking cigars and drinking some pretty male ale.

Sure, you can make light of it Chip. After all, you didn't sleep with her!

That Ed is a quick study, although you have to admit he has had pretty similar conversations with Katmandu. And then there's a certain night with skywarrior that we avoid mentioning in public ...

Say, what is it with that guy?

I just laugh when I see RH's avatar. I guess I just don't get annoyed much. Of course, I have lots of moving avatars on my LJ, so there you go.

As for Ed, well, we just don't say much. I think Sal summed it up nicely.

Heh...maybe I just have a fondness for sheep jokes, but I really like RH's icon. Moving ones usually give me a headache, but I deal with the pain in his case.

As for Libertatis...yeah. The first couple of weeks I was TeaChatting, I thought she was a she...but then there was a thread that made me reconsider my gender assumptions. I forget what it was. Still...I don't mind the avatar. That chick is so hot that even straight women will acknowledge her appeal.

Libertatis' avatar was far from annoying...to say the very least. Perhaps it was the very best of TeaChat.

LOL, I saw him say that to Bumblebee who said he hates it on the IM today, I thought the timing was...stupendous.

Praises to you, Fuka-Guri.

Grrrrrrr, hitting escape to stop his avatar after writing an entire post, yet before submitting deletes the entire post. Just one more reason to hate RHPOT's avatar.

I like RH's avatar, but I really think he should keep it to one image of that gif.

Come to think of it I liked it too...for about a year and a half. Then one day, it was just annoying.

There's a magic command I use on my computer whenever I do something wrong. Command-Z. It fixes pretty much any mistake I made.

Commander-Z has saved me many a time from the evil army of mis-executed keystrokes.

if you use Firefox as your browser you can use Ctrl+Shift+T to resurrect windows you have accidentally closed. It is one of the greatest functions i have ever discovered, especially if you surf 10 or so webpages at once in Firefox (tabbed browsing!)
