this is a good site...however there are some brand names that are repeated over and over again...
Would it make sense to have sub-forums for certain brands such as o-cha, rishi, lupicia, ito-en...??

I for one would not start a forum for a specific vendor, but anyone can start a thread for a particular vendor...as long as it is not the vendor itself doing it or an agent of the vendor. For instance, there is a thread for O-Cha already.
Mods are very sensitive to false testimonials, also BTW.

It is like deja vu all over again.Pentox wrote:If you think about it that's the best way to get a solid tea forum though. If it were segregated and too much of a tea police state, then people wouldn't want to communicate here and opt for a freer forum. Sounds vaguely familiar to some of us...

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
I almost forgot that this was run by adagioteas, which in itself says a lot. They are not advertising their company on this forum at all which is very nobel of them. I want to pause here and thank them for this.
However, I would think that establishing such a forum with subforums regarding certain vendors, would only strenghten their image as a company and simply would show how confident they feel about their company.
On the other hand, I think that the mods may already have their hands full keeping this forum clear of false advertising/reviews...and it would be unfair to place more burden on them.
I guess its being caught between a rock and a hard place. I retract my suggestion.

Although an interesting idea, I think it has too many potential problems to be viable. Most other tea companies would not like a competitor having cnotrol over the relationship they have with their clients. It's one thing if a few threads mention another company. Something else if Adagio is seen as fostering an area where people actively badmouth our competitors.
There are a few litigious tea companies out there that give us a tough time about having TeaMap listings. I have a feeling the lawyers would be working overtime if we introduced this idea.
