What type of teaware for a beginner?
I would like to delve into loose tea, but I am a bit confused on the different types of teaware available. I have seen "Gaiwan" and "Yixing" thrown around a lot, but what are the differences? For a beginner, would it be best to get one of these, or something like an ingenuiTEA? Also, is the only difference between the ingenuiTEA and the iced ingeniueTEA the size?

and welcome!
Do something different, something different will happen. ( Gong Fu Garden )
Hey, I would recommend getting either an inexpensive yixing teapot or a Japanese kyusu (style with the round handle on the side 90 degrees offset from the spout). Or, get both!
Inexpensive versions of both can be had for 20-50 USD each...and they're very fun to use. Yixing is typically for darker teas and kyusu are typically for greens.
Once you get one of these you'll want to learn about them and then get more. Have a nice time.

I agree with Knoble, although I would say that what you should probably start out with is something that you decide once you figure out what kind of tea you like. If you end up drinking more Japanese greens and the like I would go with the Kyusu. I love my kyusu although I drink mostly Japanese greens. A gaiwan is very versatile, a yixing is a bit specialized as you should keep it consistent to a type of tea used with it.
If you are just starting out though the ingenuiTEA is a good place to start.
