What other forums do you belong to?

by scruffmcgruff » Apr 29th, '08, 14:32

Eastree and I seem to bump into each other all over the internet, so I thought I'd make a thread where people could share what other forums/discussion boards, tea-related or not, they belong to. I get the feeling some of us share more in common than we think. Don't forget to include your user name(s)!

- Green Tea Forum - syntheticpanda
- Badger & Blade - Scruff McGruff
- Fountain Pen Network - Scruff McGruff

I guess my list is already started.

Let's see ...

Besides B&B (I rarely post there) I also sometimes visit shavemyface.com forum, I more often visit straightrazorplace.com's fpru,.

When I'm looking for the next tin of tobacco, smokersforums.com but that's also rare.

Roempire.com is the forum which I've been active longest. I'm one of the admin team there.

That's about it.

And another small and private Tarot forum.

I am a member of O-Cha forum but have not posted there yet.

I don't take part in the aeclectic forum, but I love that site - it's superb.

My main forums are:

- This one!!!
- Immortal Geisha (mainly for the kimono aspect, since I need to master kimono-wearing for tea ceremony)
- eGullet, a food and drink forum
- Less frequently, a handful of private forums on topics such as tea ceremony, Buddhism, Japanese incense, etc.

You had to ask. I belong to several, participate in 2 and was banned from 1!!!

Green Tea Forum -Chip

Banned from Teanobi's for...I have no clue. I asked via email, I asked via Voice messages. I never got a single reply. I posted 4 times, never a link or mention of a vendor, then I did not go back for a few months. Banned. I have to think they saw my activity here and on GTF and gave me the heave ho. Yeah well, their forum sucked anyway.

But there is an irony in that that is pretty hysterical. But it showed me how not to moderate a forum...a forum is all about people.

If I ever go to San Fran...look out Teanobi

The forum I read most often is the huge and wonderful The BPAL forum. Tea gets its own thread in the Food and Drink section :D

I'm an anti social geek so I'm not into forums .... Just kidding – I'm quite active at shavedplatypus.com which is a designers community.

Roempire? Wow, I haven't played RO in years, I didn't know people still did.

I don't do other forums, not that I post in anyway. I frequent magic: the gathering forums.

I'm not big on forums either. I'm still puzzling over how I got sucked into this one.

I have been known to lurk on the Green Tea Forum, eGullet, The Grad Café, and sometimes might drop a post on the Questionable Content forum.

Yeah ... Gravity has recently implemented yet more changes. Since a few years ago, several new classes have been added, maps have changed, and much more.

That said, I haven't played in a good while either.
