Anecdotal evidence of the healing power of tea

by RussianSoul » May 6th, '08, 20:36

This is my personal story. I had a small oral surgery done last Tuesday, a week ago. This was my forth (the forth quadrant) and the last one. It was also the first since I started drinking a lot of green tea.

I remember well how the healing went after the previous three. It generally took a week, and in one case longer, to get back to normal. I did not drink much tea back then. This time it was different. Less than 48 hours after the procedure I did not need painkillers any more. Four days after the surgery there was no discomfort left. Needless to say I continued to drink a lot of tea during all this time simply because I like to drink tea.

Today, a week after the surgery, I went in for a follow-up visit. The surgeon, unprompted, remarked on my amazing progress. He said that if he didn’t know he operated a week ago, he’d say that that two weeks have passed based on how completely healed the area looks.

Le's raise a cup of green tea to that!
