Truth: I am moving into finnicky Japanese green teas.
Truth: I have never measured or tested the temperatures of my water, going by instinct alone.
Truth: This is not a consistently effective method.
Truth: I need a good, simple, quick, reliable thermometer for tea.
Question: What is a good thermometer for tea water?

In a perfect world, I would buy a Thermapen. Best on the market, hands down. But it's just about $100. (I'd use it in cooking too, geesh.)
The $16 Taylor Commercial Waterproof Digital Thermometer is good too, though.
