This was amazing...the Oolongs pulled off a coup yesterday and took the top spot in fave tea of TeaChatters for June...this is despite all the shincha hoopla. The Oolongonians have quietly been busy. We will see how today's poll goes!!!

60th Anniversary Tea
Today is the sixtieth consecutive TeaDay photo I have posted. Compulsive, a little?
For the Sixtieth Anniversary Tea Party I am serving a Dan Cong Fall Orchid from Imen, the Dan Cong Queen of Palos Verdes.
The teaware vendor called this cup a Chikujaku lidded teacup which I think means bamboo. Click on the photo to see this yunomi chawan with its hat on. Click again to see some serious detail. The lidded cups were originally meant to be special for guests so their tea would stay warm and avoid dust, insects, or whatever airborne issues might be at large.
I especially like this chataku -- let's face it, I especially like all chataku!

This one is easy to answer! Japanese greens.
My cup is empty, but a little while ago it contained some of Adagio's coconut tea. Perfect for kicking back and watching The Jane Austen Book Club.

Started out the year as mainly a black tea drinker but have changed to primarily oolongs. I like the lighter flavor, especially in warm (& humid) weather.
Had Organic Monk's Blend w/bfast this morning. Will see what lands in my cup during the rest of the day. Have a good one!
