Hmm, I don't wanna upset you but that teapot looks produced from whirling method - sort of procelain making. Yixing clay is more like a rubber clay so basically it can't be made from those wheels or moulds with that stickness.

But, I might be uninformed as well.

And for logo...man..

There are too many logos born from Yixing, Taiwan, Guang Dong..even stamp by famous masters', it's easier to get fake ones rather than real. I just think it's not good to go by logos..

How many would there be making yixing or yixing-alike teapots today using their own logos - over 10000?
The only famous logos I come across is yixing factory's 中國宜興 or 荊溪惠孟臣製 this time. Any different ideas welcomed ^_^

on the other side of the logo there are more inscriptions. maybe i should post them for some of our chinese reading posters?

i know logos mean nothing, i was merely curious.

i will take a photo of the inscriptions on the bottom of the pot on the reverse side.

Jeez, your pot maker is Wang Jin Chuan.

He is one of famed crafters in Yixing and famous for his 'whirling making'.

But Yixing clay itself cannot be made from that method, so should be ground into micro-small powder then added with water or kaolin.

His method is not 'traditional method', rather he developed sort of his own method that enables to do whirling using a yixing clay..

Here's Wang Jing Chuan making in 'whirling method' :)

Heavydoom, Wang Jin Chuan is not a renowned crafter in mainland rather famous out of mainland (like those who are Ge Ming Xiang or Fan Wei Jun..)

So you won't find many information from China-based websites..

Oddity is he is thought to use a kaolin (base of porcelain) for stickness in order to make in a whirling.

Here is another teapot by Wang, notice a logo..

is it normal technique to use such big lettering on the pot to describe the maker/factory?

i don't know. words and sigs on the pot does not equal great pots.

my point of this thread is to see if somebody recognized the logo. i was merely curious.

the same seller of this pot has another one for sale. this one is used. it has also some writings but this time on the inside of the bottom of the pot. also more writings on the side of the lid. i am interested but not in a hurry to get this.
