First I apologize for rushing past Pentox's August Tasting, but I need to know ASAP how many want to participate in the September Tasting, as I am off to Hawaii at the end of the month to personally pick up the goods!!!!
Yep that's right! The elusive Hawaii tea, right from the source. I have lots and when I say lots, I mean ummm LOTS, of family members living in Hawaii. My having this "in" with the natives didn't hurt when working with both plantations.
I am unclear of the type of tea I may be offering, depending on the plantation I choose, I may be able to offer a green and an oolong.
Cutoff date for sign ups is Aug 24th.
Aloha!!

Seeing as both Fence and I tried to track down this elusive Hawaii tea with no success, my curiosity is peaked. Innie, and thanks for the incredible find!

Does anyone know if they steam their green or pan fire it?

It's Hawaii. That means they pan fry over the lava floes of Kilauea.

I doubt in they have the sophistication to steam. But good question.

If there's room I'm up for another bout of receiving packages in Scotland quicker than many of those on the same landmass as the sender.
