I absolutly love my tea's( green li zi xiang tea, and mandarin green tea and seem to indulge my self until I am ready for bed! I love these and since finding mandarin green tea I now seem to go crazy for this one as well. Any one else here drink this much? is it good for a person to drink this much?

My late mother-in-law, a Scotswoman, would drink 8 to 10 cups of tea at breakfast alone. She had several more after lunch, drunk 10 or 12 at tea-time, and invariably had a nightcap—or three! In Wintertime, she had the kettle going all day long.
This was quite common among British people of her generation. She drank her tea without sugar, and slowly. She died at 92, in her sleep.
Most tea-drinking nations do this kind of thing.

Let's see...
My tea pot holds enough for 3 6oz cups, I re-infuse once, so that's 6 6oz cups a sitting. I usualy drink tea morning, noon, and late afternoon (it keeps me up if I drink in the evening).
Add it all together and that's...drum roll please...18 6oz cups a day. Geez, I had never really thought about it before!

phew - i thought i was on only one. i do between 6-8 13oz pots just at work. usually do a pot of black in the morning then shift through oolongs to green then to white. i get to have many of my favorites this way and keep my caffein
if i want to drink late at night i usually shift to infusions. i am really fond of my lemongrass hibiscus at night or plain ol' peppermint.

I drink tea cup after cup..whole day, especially while at home...uncountable, i believe..
I love green tea. Lately, i had bad experience of tea...I found a lot of "tea" in the market should define as "scented drink" instead of calling "tea." I saw "Rose tea", which looked as dried tiny rose, "jasmin tea", which looked as dried tiny jasmin...Who has seen this? what do you think?
Where can I find various selection of tea in San Jose, CA, USA?
and how would I know that it's not the "leaves of jasmin, or rose", but it's genuine tea leaves.

Depends upon what you call a cup! I'm a blue coller tea drinker- so much of my tea is drank from a large plastic mug. I do not consider tea bags as tea-sorry. I have drank tea in many other countries of the world and am not concerned about others tea culture-develope your own. I start by putting the loose green tea on the bottom of the mug and pour the hot water over the top-put the sipper top on which also allows for steeping and your on your way. When it's drank down two-thirds I simply add more hot water. That gets me to noon then I dispose of the used tea and start over-usually with a different varity of green tea. I also teach an adult education class Called "Tea 101"--you never learn more then when you are teaching.

Adore Green & White Tea's
I've been drinking Green for years.
I'm a diabetic & went way out of control in May of
last year.
I started taking care of myself at that time
I lost 15 pounds just drinking 4 to 8 cups a day
the first couple months.
Then I started taking the Mega T
& lost 19pounds more.
I asked my Dr. if I should stop taking it
when I reach my ideal weight, he said not
nessarily. I went up to a 2000 cal a day diet to
maintain my weight during the cold months
because I get cold easy now but
am going to go back to 1800 cal diet when
it gets warm to drop the extra 7 pounds.
Hope this helps

am a pretty straight forward traditional Chinese tea drinker. Mainly i only drink out of my Gaiwan and yixing. Why...cause when you think about it... alot of tea ( loose only =] ) after the leaves sit for awhile it turns bitter. But alot of people dont know is when the tea is sitting without leaves after brewing for awhile... ( in a mug lets say) it someone concentrates the flavor...and gives a slight feel of Fuzzyness on your tongue. That is why when i drink tea i drink it when i make it out from a small yixing or gaiwan only. There small, but a good rule of thumb... is drink what you brew...and enjoy it. You can always brew more ( and with good chinese tea you can brew it about 4 to well 8 times for me and it still has flavor) But i have come to find is alot of my tea is almost ready to exchange for newer ( in some months to come) So what i might do is share the welath when i open up my tea shop on the net and give away small samples to the buyers, just away to stray myself from the other competetors. I mena id rather do this..then let the tea go bad, from knowing i can possibly drink it all my self.

Hi all,
I was just browsing the website to find if there was any such condition for being, addicted to tea.
Over the weekend period i easily manage 8 cups of tea per day. The tea I use is nothing as fancy as the ones i have read on here. Mine are just plain Typhoo, PG Tips or Tetley tea bags.
If none of you are familiar with any of the above, it maybe cos they are mainly British style tea bags.
I do not like Coffee in any shape or form so i doubt its the caffeine i am addicted to but just the taste of Tea I guess.
Anyway, if anyone knows of a condition for being 'addicted to tea' then please let me know.
Kind Regards
Matt
