Welcome everyone to a GREAT TeaDay! How do I know it is great, well, follow along and I hope you agree! I hope everyone will share what is in their cups today, all day. Shall we brew?
Yesterday, a slight majority of TeaChatters indicated they craved green teas on some level. 11 voted the highest level of craving, the highest so far in the crave polls. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
We will continue discussing crave factors for other teas next week. For now, we start to slip into the weekend mode on TeaDay.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about "GREAT TeaDays" mentioned above. It seems I have been abundantly blessed with GREAT TeaDays everyday lately, going back several weeks at least. I am not boasting, but I started to wonder, do others have GREAT TeaDays, or not? Am I just on some anomalous streak lately and am doomed to pay. Are you having a GREAT TeaDay streak or not? Do you have more GREAT TeaDays than not?
Defining a GREAT TeaDay is pretty subjective, but for me it is every tea was VERY enjoyable, not a single bad or mediocre tea all day. Oh, and enough of it as well!
I am looking forward to sharing this GREAT TeaDay with everyone! Bottoms up ...

Teacup Playday
I sure am! And even my teacup is having some great days: Yesterday, the leaping carp teacup got to spend the day playing in the fake Japanese garden at work.

Well being on vacation wrecked havoc with my tea routine, so lately no, but starting tomorrow - oh yeah!!!

I've just started a new job where everyone seems to drink tea. On the first day
(introduction, orientation) one young woman started a conversation about what a great idea it was to put tea leaves in my water bottle, (I gave her Adagio and Uptons info) and the teacher I will be sharing a classroom with told me that she drinks (instant, powdered) green tea all day for her allergies.
A big change from my part time job where people thought I must be drinking seawater.
I have been bringing Sencha with me. I am beginning to crave it.
I feel much less like a fish out of water (glad to see the little carp gets to play
, Salsero )
Sorry about your bicycle accident Space - glad you're on the mend.

Tea days have been very exciting recently what with my new found love of Chinese teas! I had some very good teas day while on my trip to the south of France as I took a selection of my tea/teaware including my kyusu, some Long Jing and Yunnan Gold. While out there I also aquired some Palais Des Thes Yunnan Grand Imperial from a shop in Saint Emillion and some Gu Zhang Mao Jian from Cafe Errel in Perigueux. The Gu Zhang is pretty much how splinters puts it in his short review "Perfectly nice green tea, but not memorable." I really love the Yunnan Imperial however, slightly more smokey than the Yunnan Gold which I have just finished.
About to place an order with Teaspring for a load of 25g samples, can't wait for those to arrive!

I can't really complain about my teadays, the tea tastes well and I have time to drink it while relaxing with some music. More reading than lectures this semester, so spend a lot of time studying at home together with all my tea
Yutaka Midori now while I rip my newly acquired jazz records to the harddrive
Have a nice teaday everyone
-edit-
Really nice photos Salsero, I love pictures of tea in nature, a cup of tea looks like it belongs there.

salsero - Where do you work where you have a fake japanese garden? That's so cool!
I decided to break out some roasted kukicha this morning. It reminds me of Korean roasted barley tea. Yum!
I've been having some GRRRRREAT tea days these past few weeks. I think the only times I have 'bad' tea days is when I'm experimenting with new teas and bought something I don't like so much.
Have a GREAT tea day everyone!

My teadays are consistently great by my definition... because if they don't start out great, I just change my course and make SURE they are great.
For example, I decided to try some Organic Monk's Blend this morning... a nice black tea, but it just didn't hit the spot after I've been used to some exceptional darjeelings and dark oolongs the past few days. I had to cream and sugar it, and it just wasn't what I wanted.
So, I changed directions, and am now sipping on a magically delicious cup of Stephane's Subtropical Forest Bao Zhong 2008 from TeaMasters, courtesy of Sal. It's perhaps not *quite* as good as the 2 year tree, but smooth and buttery and delicious with a gorgeous pale color and an intoxicating aroma I could inhale all day.
Tea... the new AromaTherapy.
Hope you all have an equally amazing tea today...
