Welcome TeaFriends to TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today, all day! Shall we brew?
Yesterday, most responders indictated they followed Tea Blogs. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic, the teaware wars rage on, which wins your battle, cups or pots? When shopping, which do you look for first?
I am looking forward to seeing you in our virtual TeaRoom. Bottoms up.

If you had asked this a year ago, I would have said pots. Today though, I'd definitely have to go with cups.
On the other hand... I do still appreciate teapots. One of my favorites:

Clickity-clack for more teapotness!
[P.S. - Should I sue for copyright infringement? That last poll option is a bit iffy...
Kidding of course]

Well, looks like I'm the first one to vote for teapots...*at least when I first wrote this*
Maybe it's because I've only been drinking tea for a few months now, so I don't have an appreciation for the teacup yet. I see the issue as what you value most in brewing tea. If you value the intricate processes in brewing the tea, maybe you'll like the teapot more. But if you enjoy admiring and drinking the final product, maybe the teacup is what you admire most. Although I'm obviously interested in drinking the final product, I'm just as interested in getting the final product down perfectly, and improving the brewing process.
A little known fact (well at least I think it is), back in the day people would carry their own personal yixing teapot, and since it was so small they would drink the tea straight from the spout! My yixing teapots are small enough, but drinking it straight from the spout would might scald my lips

Re: 2008 Mengku “Mu Ye Chun” Old Tree sheng
You're welcome. I ordered some of the Castleton Muscatal (from Thunderbolt) based on the sample you sent me. Hopefully its just as good as Tea Emporiums. I'm also considering ordering some cheap cakes from Awazon soon so hopefully withing a few months I'll have some new and interesting things to send you samples of.Salsero wrote:Thanks, Trioxin, for sharing this sample with me. I liked it enough that I ordered a cake.
As for the poll... it flip flops back and forth with me. Currently I'm on a pot kick
Currently drinking... 2007 Mengku Mu Ye Chun 001

Me too, but currently I'm not looking for anything. Virtual tie, I guess.Trioxin wrote:

EW

Ginseng Oolong in a set I bought yesterday. This flavoured oolong - that I started my day with - tastes GREAT! Just finishing a cup of Bai Hao Yinzhen, think I'll have some Kukicha soon. Then maybe gooing back to the Ginseng.
Scruffmcgrupp - I really like your picture!
Chip - Hope you're not too chocked! I'm sorry for your beautiful bike.
I'm more of a teacup person. I do have two teapots. One I use but very seldom, the other one I've never used at all
