Wednesday TeaDay 9/24/08 TeaPot Crave factor?

by Chip » Sep 24th, '08, 00:45

Welcome TeaFriends to TeaDay. Let's be sure to share what is in our cups today, all day.

Yesterday, most reponders indicated they craved teacups, no big surprise except it was only 52%. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today, the teaware wars conclude (I think, definite maybe!). Today, what is your personal crave factor for TeaPots? Please share something about your favorite teapot.

I am craving a TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Always in the mood to admire a pretty teapot. No so always to buy a new one!

Iced citron green today, need to mix that up a bit soon.

I was considering buying it. Do you like it?

@sal – where do you get those gorgeous flowers? Nice image – clean and elegant.

Back to tea pots – like them but not crave them. I can recommend looking into www.novica.com They sell some very nice tea pots and cups from Java, Bali, Thailand etc. The main difference is that you buy directly from the artist/designer.

I have purchased quite a few things from them (Thailand and Bali) and the items arrived with a personal note from the designer + awesome gift wrapping (handmade paper etc)

Going to drink Keemun and that is my last cup – the tin is empty

Yes, I am enjoying it very much, it is soft and smooth. Not a full leaf as I was expecting, but still it makes a very good morning cuppa.

I like decorative teapots, but with 7 cats in the place, breakables have to be limited. My china cabinet is already full, so I can only sit and sigh when I see pretty teapots.

I use my Brown Betty at home constantly, and at work, I use a creamy white pot shaped much like a Brown Betty.

Just got into my office 30 minutes ago, and I'm brewing Adagio White Peach and listening to soothing music from Pandora.com. Necessary preparation before facing students!

I love teapots, but don't crave them as much as cups.

Having said that, I have far more teapots than I technically "need"

Yeah, cats and teaware are NOT purrrfect together. One cat named Koi has cost me a fortune.

Pandora, I have not listened for a while. It seemed to repeat a lot. I will have to "tune it in" today.

Any other internet Asian music???

What she said, exactly. But if I start looking at Tokoname related sites, the crave factor heats up. So, I went with 7.

I Just finished Adagio Keemun, and have moved on to O-Cha Chiran Yutaka Midori.

At work now, finishing the last of my ToT Black Dragon sample from
GeekGirl. I have been having a lot of ToT lately, I had not tried much
from this company before, so thanks Geek for re-introducing me.
