So far I noticed 3 or 4 tea forums that I accidentally surfed into. they discuss no where near the number of topics than here at teachat. Tea blogs are numerous, but forums with as many participants I haven't seen yet, this is my personal limited observation.
What are your thoughts on this, just some grist for the mill

I assume that you already know about RFDT, Cha Dao, TeaMail, and the Puerh Live Journal. O-Cha has a forum devoted to Japanese green tea, but I think that is not one of your interests.
Of course, none of them hold a candle to TeaChat for ease of use, diversity of participation, number of posts, liveliness, etc.

Totally agree with you on this very user friendly, the layout and colour scheme too, quite catching.
Your teacuppa Rou Gui is very good btw, the aftertaste is very sweet and never ending.

Some of the other forums discuss more in-depth material than TeaChat, but the energy here is great.
RFDT has some very smart people and lots of info if you know where to look, but there was *so* much spam and flaming (and many many responses to either) that I stopped watching it.
Also, lately it seems like there is a lot of great new info coming to light on TeaChat, particularly about puerh and Chinese tea culture. It is definitely getting better in terms of the "signal to noise ratio."

Is there no multi-quote option here?
please list the "3 or 4".
Old list that does not seem to be updated (think I got the link from some other thread while searching on 'tea forums' / 'tea sites' here):

Tea Chat & Forums
Here's the latest list. If you know of any other tea-related chats and forums worth visiting, please leave a comment.
(Updated 04/14/07)
This site seems to be the most active, most participants; but if there is something missing here, always good to be able to search in other places, ask around.

TeaChat seems to be in the lead for sheer scope, wealth of viewpoints and info.
The
TeaDrunk forum has some great information.
And the Badger & Blade
cafe has had a mini pu-erh revolution going on for a while.
I've just realised that
Talktea is run by Nothing But Tea with numerous posts by Nigel, maybe Nigel Melicam? Anyways the place seems pretty dead. I tried to register a while back and never got a confirmation email back.
