New People

by Salsero » Oct 15th, '08, 14:24

So there seem to be a large number of new people popping up in TeaChat the last two or three months. Surprising unknowns like tsusentei who I had never heard of but who has wowed me and old names from other forums who seem to be migrating this way like Eanglin, Beecrofter, Fatman2, and WYardley. My impression is that TeaChat is really coming of age in a big way. Of course there are also bunches of other wonderful new TeaChatters like Trioxin, Shogun89, Beidao, Kongni, Omegapd, Heavydoom, Orguz (HD's his brother), and on and on.

I don't have any names to put forward at this point, but I was wondering who (if anyone) might appear on other ITDer short lists.

I've been talking to Tsuentei quite a bit over the past few weeks and he has some very interesting things to say about the Japanese tea industry. Although his point of view is very off center and he claims a lot of things about the industry that he hears from farmers and distributors so he cannot backup with anything other than his word. He's also very much tied to a business in development. I'm curious to see how he would fit in the ITD world if he does fit here.

Tsuentei is quite mysterious. Do you have precisions about his business?

Well it's not his business specifically, but from what I have been able to gather they intend to import Aracha to the states, I think. Their site is not up yet, but he says it should be soon.

I have only had brief encounters with a few of them, but I agree, it is nice to see some new faces. Not to imply that you guys are getting old of course! hahah

Personally I think that this winter will show quite a few new faces in here. I think the next few years will show surges during the winter months.
