Welcome to the virtual TeaRoom we call TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today, all day.
Yesterday, responders who have started thinking about holiday shopping ... for themselves, chose tea more than anything else. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic. Let's talk weather. Winter is quickly approaching and you have a choice. Would you head for the sun and warmth or would you escape to the cold and snow? Where? Why? How would your choice affect your tea enjoyment.
I am looking forward to sharing our virtual TeaRoom with everyone. Bottoms up.

I suppose I would choose the sun and warmth since I did, that's why I'm here.
But an occasional snow adventure would be fun.
I do miss the beauty of it.

Fujian Baroque and tasting sets
I would stay right where I am so I could meet up with Caligatia and Cinnabar Red on Tuesday at the Merlion Singapore Restaurant where we may even have some Fujian Baroque brewed in a competition style tasting set.
Fujian Baroque tea. The dry tea has a wonderful aroma (maybe dried cherries ?)

Tasting cup sets are standard teaware used by tasters worldwide from open air competitions in tiny villages in Taiwan to enormous sencha processing facilities in Japan to the isolated estate farms in the highest elevations of Darjeeling.
Here’s a photo showing how you decant the tea liquor from the brewing cup into the tasting bowl.

Here’s another showing how you display the tea leaves on the upturned lid of the brewing cup next to the decanted liquor in the tasting bowl. You would then use a spoon to take a bit of brewed tea out of the bowl to actually taste.

Here is a photo that I lifted from the Manik Tea website and cleaned up a bit so you could see a South Asian tasting room set up for the tea master and his assistants to try the latest plucking.

I am with kongni on this one, Spring and Fall are definitely my favorites, but I tend to be happy throughout the year. I did just move back to the Cincinnati area from Los Angeles though, and among the reasons was the lack of very much seasonal change out in SoCal. So in a sense I guess I have already run for the cold and snow!

I'm a little torn on this one...
I come from Taiwan and I live in CA, so I should love and embrace the sun and warmth
however, I go to school in CT and I'm in DC now, so I'm starting to appreciate the cold...I guess I would welcome the cold and snow, only because it offers something different in life, a kinda change in pace.
