what's better for boiling, glass or cast iron?

When I've used cast iron, rust seems to flake off. Glass seems pretty neutral...?

I do have a cast iron teapot but not a kettle. I currently use a stainless kettle but want to switch to a glass or a cast iron tetsubin.

-there was a post earlier about difference in taste between these but I cant seem to find it at the moment.
