I just had this at their sample day, and it was delicious. (And assams usually do nothing for me.)
The aroma is lovely and complex, and I thought I must be hallucinating, because I thought there was an aspect of it that smelled like black olives.
Then I tasted it, and yup, there's a black olive note in there. Sounds bad in theory; tastes great in reality. It has a malty note as well, and a weightiness to it without being a teaXfour.
I also noticed it creates an instant patina in the cup, more than I've ever seen a tea do. If you like patina-ing up a dedicated pot, this tea would probably do that quickly.

Wow, impressive review! Sample day is Tuesday, isn't it. So nice to have a local shop. There is just no substitute.
I have had two or three of their other Assams and not been impressed, but I haven't tried this. May have to put in an order. Thanks for the tasting note.
