Okay, so I'm thinking it's time to progress on my teamaking equipment and I have bid on a clear glass Gaiwan. (cuz I love to see the leaves)
Do these look like satisfactory cups? I know that clay is desirable for pots, but is it also for cups?
Thanks for any suggestions or advice!
I don't like too much clay for cups. I prefer porcelain: easier to clean and easier to see the color of your tea. Anyway these cups are very small but not too expensive.
I have such small teacups which I don't very often use. You can find some now and then on ebay (search for "sencha teaset" or "hohin")

I prefer porcelain too, but those cups are going on my "next to buy" list!

They remind me of those little clay cups that people in India drink out of when they buy tea from street vendors.
Don't always believe what you think!
