Saturday TeaRoom 11/15/08 PersonaliTEA?

by Chip » Nov 15th, '08, 02:29

Good TeaDay everyone, welcome to a TeaRoom Saturday. Please be sure to share what is in your cup today, all day.
Check out the TeaWare contest under TeaWare.

Yesterday, responders were pretty split on whether work/school made provisions for their tea enjoyment. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic. What tea best describes your personality? Have fun or be ultra serious. What ever is your whim.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.

I chose pu-erh: not even slightly delicate, misunderstood by many, and thought to be weird by those who don't know me. (Well, hm, people who know me think I'm weird too. But that's okay.)

Speaking of pu-erh, I just drank my first shu and my husband may have to scape me off the ceiling because I'm so wired...

This is like one of those job interview questions where you get in trouble no matter what you say! Well, I am going to say that I am subtle, mellow, laid back, and easy like a Chinese green ... course none of that is true, but I like the way it sounds!

Speaking of Chinese greens, people are often surprised to learn that this tea is actually named after an American geologist. When served after dark, it is referred to as Nick at Night.
There is no truth to the rumor of its association with Soylent Green.

Voted Other:

I am a kind of person that is always changing.

For now I am more of a Chai tea. Strongly full of flavor, Sometimes overbearing with that flavor. A blend of too many flavors to detect what each is. Sometimes smoothed out with cream, otherwise sharp and forward.

National Yancha Month continues with the last bits of 2007 "Exquisite" Da Hong Pao from Teacuppa. Thanks, Brent.

I chose pu-erh, too. I was thinking more along the lines of "gets better and better with age," but caligatia's phrasing works, too! :D

Da Hong Pao with breakfast this morning....

Beautiful picture, Sal! I can feel the radioactiveness from here!

I'm definitely an herbal tea. Full of colour, rich with flavour, and mixes well with others. :D

In my cup is some Ti Kuan Yin with four Jasmine #12 pearls. A lovely, "Saturday at the office" cup.
I believe drinking tea makes me a better artist. But hey, I also believe I'm completely sane.

Hey, these are complicated questions! Tea is tea, and I have no clue how to relate it to my personality :P Or maybe because I got up too early today, 9am for a Saturday!

I am all in mood for black tea and oolong recently.
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

Even though I never drink it, I voted yerba mate because it is a distinct taste like no other

Shincha now. Getting ready for some oolong before I stomp the art pedal to the metal!

Sal, that cup of tea you photographed looks like a "magical" brew. What kind of tea is it? Dragonwell?

I am a white, specifically, Silver Needle.
Subtle, understated, introverted, hiding in the silver buds (my shell),
and can get bitter when in too hot water! :D

Nice photos Sal and Brandon!

A good start to the TeaDay with Organic Sencha from the Japanese land down under, Kagoshima.
Sweetie imbibed, Wulong climbed, Precious ignored,
KoiKat had notions of knocking anything valuable over and just being disruptive.
