Sunday TeaRoom 11/16/08 Turning on the "boob tube?"

by Chip » Nov 16th, '08, 01:01

Welcome everyone to a TeaRoom TeaDay on TeaChat! No excuses for not sharing what is in your cup today, all day.

Yesterday responders shared their personaliTEA. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom Poll and discussion topic is a bit lighter fare than yesterday's "tough one." Since I fried so many of your brain cells, I am keeping it super simple so you can recover, but we can still get to know each other a little. TV, will you turn it on today and if so, what will you watch? Sports, movies, documentary type shows, reality TV, cooking, news, cartoons, religious, true crime, syndication, shopping, PBS, Indie, Music, or other. Please share.

I am looking forward to sharing tea in our TeaRoom today, bottoms up!

You're not making it any easier for me. I haven't watched an hour of TV in the last 2 or 3 years! Instead, I watch my tea--

This pot is part of my makeover in the image of Olivierco, since IIRC he just acquired this little sweetheart. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm jealous of both the pot and cup.

After Church, it'll be Football. After Football, it'll be the History Channel or A&E. Maybe the Simpsons before bed if I'm still awake by then. After working all night and being off on Sundays, I try to stay awake all night and day and sleep like a normal person that first night off. Most of the time it doesn't work, though.

Lipton Loose Leaf (British Style tonight-cream and sugar). Good stuff on a cold night...

Nice picture!

I guess I will watch the news or hear them on the radio during my lunch. Perhaps some football tonight (Ravens vs Giants) when preparing my work for tomorrow.

Keemun this morning.

Easy. "Other" = none.

Like Salsero, I haven't watched TV (except for the occasional sports events) in a long, long time. I do play video games, though. . .

An An Xi oolong today with breakfast.

No TV for me today, I am purposely not going to the pub to watch Everton vs. Middlesborough so I can finish off checking over my essays due tomorrow (might listen to it on the radio though!) Had a really horrible cup of tea from a bag this morning...big mistske, am definitely going to chuck them! I recieved my first order from Hibiki-an a couple of days ago so will probably have some Sencha Superior in a little while. I haven't had any lighter steamed sencha for a while so am really enjoying this tea!

Jack :D

Other -

I don't actually have TV service, like Vulture I'm internet only. However I do watch Grey's Anatomy on iTunes, and House M.D. and E.R. on Hulu.com, but that's not Sundays.

I think some keemun is in my very near future.

I doubt I'll be watching any TV today. There are a couple of shows on the Discovery Channel that I love, but other than that I mostly watch my husband (the gaming journalist) play video games. Some of them have really interesting characters and storylines, so they're fun to watch. Right now he's playing Mirror's Edge, a first-person parkour game that makes me nauseous to watch, so I'm sticking with my books and music today.

I wanted something strong for my morning tea, so I'm having a single-estate Assam that I've previously enjoyed. Good stuff.

Sundays pretty much always start with the morning political talk shows while reading the Sunday "Times," then at 1 we have Giants football, of course. :D

The day started with Himalayan Majestic from Teavana, but I'm up to "desert" already with their Sour Cherry Serenade.

Ditto, very sexy.

We've been watching a lot of Mario Bros. this weekend! The Office is the only network show I watch, occasionally. HBO movies on the weekend when I have time. Don't watch like I used to. . .

I voted 'other' because this is the day that I usually catch up on what's on the DVR.

No tea yet today.
