I just ordered these lovely things to put under the tree:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0066983486
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0097567686
Those are for me
And these are for my husband:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0172088157
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0068409761
One for shu and one for sheng.
Plus a bunch of cakes etc.
The funny thing is that I was sitting on the couch with my laptop screen out of his view, and had JUST finished paying for the wares when he said, "You know what you could get me for Christmas sweetie? A little yixing pot that I could use just for puerh!"
I couldn't help the smug smile from busting through but he thought it was because I was pleased I had converted him to the dark side, so he only guessed half of it.
I was planning on getting a tea table, too, ut forgot to include it in the order, so I said to him, "Sweetie, I would like a tea table for christmas!" We're looking at this one:

The table is far nicer that one I would have picked for myself, but my sweetie is not the penny-pincher that I am.
Someone posted those cups on another thread awhile back, and I was totally enchanted with them. I may not ever drink out of them, I prefer ceramic cups, but they are just the cutest. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

I have one of those pots, and like it a lot. I plan to order one of the others in my next order. Good for you. Also, I have a sandalwood teatable, (not that one) and I absolutely LOVE it. It would have been worth it at twice the price. I really like that one at DTH, very tempting, but I do not need another now. Ha!

Sorry for the unclear reference ... I was referring to Chip getting a tea table.

I have that first pot posted from Scott, and I think it's a fantastic little pot suited to shu. I'm a fan.

I've never seen any Japanese person use a tea table, and I've drank lots of tea in Japan, with lots of different people. Tables like that seem very gong-fu, very Chinese (and very pretty, I might add).

Seems more than my tea selection is influenced by the Japanese.

I don't think I would have used it for Japanese teas not knowing this anyway, but now I will never really know.
