Tuesday TeaDay 12/02/08 December shopping?

by Chip » Dec 2nd, '08, 01:15

Good TeaDay everyone, please share what is in your cup today.

Yesterday, Chinese teas were crushing the competition as fave teas for Novermber. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Now that is is December, do you find yourself looking more at tea and teaware than before? Please share.

I am definitely looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

I think I am just as fanatic about tea and teaware no matter what the month.......I see no difference from my usualy daily checks of teaware and new teas now that it is december.....I am currently drinking some premium sencha and on the 3rd brew.

No, definitely not - I have too much already - of both!

My plan is no more teaware and no new tea until the Spring '09 oolongs arrive.

I'm sure one or more of the above plans will fail.
Ha!

More. I'm gift shopping, and can't help making the rounds for my imaginary gift list (for myself.) But December is an expenditure-heavy month for me, between Xmas shopping, and various business expenses that all seem to come due at year-end. So any tea/teaware purchases need to be put on hold for awhile. :?

Nope, spending in general has to be trimmed to a minimum this Christmas season.

Time to practice contentment, I guess! :)

No not really, I just put out the rest of my teabudget for the year. The only tea I will get is for other people.

Trying out random blends my coworker is playing with.

I don't believe that I'm looking at stuff more. In fact, it's probably less, given that it seemed I was looking near constantly when I first started researching the topic.

I went with a mini tuocha cooked puerh with breakfast this morning.

After blowing a wad on a new set of Polk Monitors and a handful of Playstation games, I won't be buying any tea goods for a little while. Poor me.

No more teaware for me...already have more cups and mugs than I need, plus I've got my idea of the perfect pot at home (Brown Betty) and a good pot at the office.

Restocking my own teas because I'm running low, but the only extra buying I'm doing is for a few gifts for Christmas.

I'm not even looking at teaware, at this point. Well, okay, I'm getting one thing. But that was planned last month, so I'm not counting that.

I don't need any more tea for a while. I have more than enough samples to try, and lots of favorites to keep me going through the holidays.

Big Red Robe in my cup right now.

I am looking at both much more because I am almost completely done with my Christmas shopping. Time to spend money on me.

I'm definately not looking for more -- I always look for bargains and "needs" but I'm not actively seeking tea/teaware.

Margarget's Hope in the mug this morning.

Me too, but not with tea ware. I figure I ordered about 2 pounds of tea or tisanes the last 2 weeks. Some will be gifts but most will be for me. I'm done looking now, though.

English Breakfast this morning...

I am still looking at tea and teaware. Since I am new to better teas and have nearly blown my Christmas budget on tea already, I am justifying more expenditures by telling myself, I will buy all the ones I want to try for my friends and family and hope they will share with me.
