Indiana
I'm from Indiana. Is there anyone else on here from Indiana? It's hard to find people from here.

Which part of Indiana? I'm technically from KY, but just across the river from Evansville in southern Indiana. Consider me a neighbor.

Oy, Chip! A real Hoosier would know it's "Indy" not "Indie," but you used it wrong anyway. "Indy" refers to the city of Indianapolis. "Indie" is short for "independent rock." It can also refer to the type of people and culture that listen to or surrounds this genre of music. The "indie scene" is known for it's jackass elitism, so it's usually got that stuck-up connotation to it.Chip wrote:Hi Jackson and welcome to TeaChat. There are a bunch of people from Indy here.
Be sure to pay us a visit on TeaDay and share what is in your cup!

SmileyFace--there's a lot of Hoosiers who frequent this cite. I just moved to Oregon from the Indianapolis area a few months ago, and when I had, the Indy chatters were starting to meet up in real life and check out some of the tea joints in the city. Friendly folk, all around.

Indy has something better than the Colts... it's called St. Elmo's Steakhouse. If you *ever* visit Indy, you should definitely eat there. The steak is genuinely better than any I've had anywhere in the world... and the shrim cocktail with the homemade firey cocktail sauce... is worth the 4 hour drive it takes me to get there. I knew the first time I went in, when there were like 15 huge shrimp cocktails waiting to go out to tables... I knew it must be something special. It was absolutely spectacular. As was the service and the atmosphere.
Now I'm hungry.

Chip, since you are a cyclist, you probably were thinking Indie Bike, a well known
cycling apparel shop in Indianapolis. Great website too!
I have a few relatives in Madison still, and a few near Clifty Falls.
Beautiful area!
