Does the question even need to be asked? I think if your a T Nerd you would want to infect those around you with T. Best excuse is to gift them some on xmas!
I am developing a T virus to spread on the world like Umbrella Corp but with less zombies and more T.
In my cup - TGY from red blossom. trying for the first time *sip*

If I were planning on giving tea, this would be a good one, even for someone new to tea. It is an ultra green, 1700 m oolong from a lesser known Formosa mountain. Brewed strong, it presents a delicious, lemony infusion, with excellent weight in the mouth. It is reminiscent of high-grown, quality Ceylons: Fruity and floral by turns, thick and rich, great texture and aftertaste.

Some friends would be shocked if I didn't give them tea-related gifts.
The last 2 years, I gave tins of my blends and I don't even know how many IngenuiTeas I've given away. My sis, the only other true tea-person in the family, asked me for specific teas for Christmas. One guy who loves really dark, stand-up-strong coffee doesn't know where to start so he's getting sample tins of pu erh & lapsang souchong.
In my cup at the end of this day: the 3rd steep of Oooh Darjeeling.

Since my precious daughter in love has evinced an interest in tea, even if it is green, I'll be giving her several teas and a yixwhatever pot along with the silver tea service. As the Thanksgiving High Tea and Turkey Day went well and the teas very well received, I'm probably going to give them a large Brown Betty to go along with the Tea recipe book I'm working on for them.
If only there was a nice tea place to take her to.
This won't be the first family I have infected with the T virus (Loved that movie, btw, but then I really like zombie movies - Shawn of the Dead is the best, though.) I sent a figural tea set to our youngest Godson for his 4th birthday, along with lots of recipes. It was so cute. The teapot was a giant cupcake, the creamer and sugar were as well. He doesn't play tea party, all the kids have tea when they get home from school every day and, like my husband and I, they have High Tea on Sunday afternoon. Over the years we've added to his tea service, keeping to the original cupcake theme and expanding it slightly. Last Christmas we sent 12 small dinner plates and 12 bread and butter plates that were cup cake themed and his mother found silverware with cupcakes on the ends.
Here's what we're giving him this Christmas.

Here's an unusual Brown Betty I believe my daughter in love will enjoy.

Going to try to go to sleep now. One of the newest cats dumped here just had kittens On my bed On top of me and she does not wish to be put in the nice basket with soft padding and blanket.
Apologies if the pictures didn't post correctly. I'll try to putz with it after a pot of tea in the morning.
In my cup - decaffeinated, loose Constant Comment with a touch of honey.[/img]

Flicker is fickle with images, you have to do it the right way. I personally don't know as I don't use flicker but I use http://www.imageshack.us to host my images.treazure wrote: Here's what we're giving him this Christmas.
Edit: Moved from the oolong to my normal work drink, my flavored blend with chocolate milk.

I gave a lot of tea gifts last year, my mother and sister are the only ones that really have started to follow me into the land of tea. I'm sure most of my gifts will come from the tea shop, it's hard to tell at the moment how many will actually be tea-related.
Not sure if I'm going to have a cup before work, but let me tell you...the Classic Roast TGY from the Tea Gallery I made last night was amazing! Before I got my scale I think I was using to much leaf (darn ball-rolled oolongs) and it was very heavy on the roasting, almost coffee-like. Now, it has the light toastiness but a lingering floral sweetness...delicious.

I already wrapped up a tea starter set for my little sister, which I got from Adagio. I hope she enjoys it. For my dude, on the other hand, I can't get him tea since he already works at a tea shop and doesn't want me to spend money on tea that he already has- so tools and other stuff he shall get.
This morning, haven't brewed anything up yet but I feel like having Gyokuro for a change.
