Oni, Wassupfrombustamove, and Cofftea, the NG of ITD?

by Chip » Dec 11th, '08, 18:00

Oni, Wassupfrombustamove, Cofftea for ITD. We need to make an exception to our time rules and let these noobs in.

Strange week, or is it just me?

First Oni goes on the attack over and over for no apparent reason, earning a warning.

Then this Wassupfrombustamove comes on talking about chocolate lavender tea in the vain of a certain someone who liked to discuss 6 steeps of white peppermint oolong, over and over. And received a one week suspension from IM.

Then this Cofftea guy FP'ed today and got in 3 flame wars ... today ... that I know about. Oh, is trying to start yet another under alternative liquids? And the day is not over.

Rant over ...
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I dunno, membership seems to be a bit unusual lately. A lot more short spanners I've noticed.

Well, we recently went back to full automatic registration again, having dealt with the spambot situation pretty effectively. I have considered that this is a possible reason.

Is it full moon, it has been raining here for days. Maybe fool moon?

The crappy-photo-of-exotic-car avatar seems to suggest that too. :)

wassupfromareallylongnamethathethoughtwouldlookcoolonaforum is a kid. His first night in the IM he kinda prattled on about how no one would pay attention to him. He's 15 if I remember correctly. I gave him a pat on the head and shooed him away.

Oni has that Romanian machismo thing goin on. How you can express this in text is beyond me, but I find it a bit amazing.

My rant is done.

Yeah, I saw him say he's 15. He threw an impressive tantrum when people started talking to eachother, removing him from the center of attention.

I was going to say the same as Pentox - the new round of newbies are a bit.. different. Definitely a lot more ADHD, and they have a way of getting on my nerves.

Oni is definitely.. something. I don't know whether he's really a prima dona or just in his late teens. At least he's gotten a little better and is making more relevant posts.

(Dec. 11) - The full moon Friday night will be the biggest one of the year as Earth's natural satellite reaches its closest point to our planet.

The moon's average distance from us is about 238,855 miles. Friday night it will be just 221,560 miles away. It will be 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during the year, according to NASA.

I rest my case.

Regardless, today I have 10 PMs (yes, 10, he would PM me 2 at a time) in my inbox from Wassupblahblahblah, and several from Cofftea (anyone here who puts c*ff** before TEA in their user name has issues and is likely to get into brawls).

This has been too much today.

Oni seems to have chilled since "we talked."

W certainly does like to be the center of attention. I've got a few from him now myself :P I've noticed these newbies seem to like you, though, chip :)

OK, I have heard he is somewhat randomly "spamming" members asking them to check out his poll under Misc. Has he been spamming anyone here?
