Just when I get my fancy new tea table from them they have a sale.
Oh well.
I figured I'd share with the rest of you.

I got this one:
http://shop.andaotea.com/products/wooden-tea-tray
I was a little upset when I took it out of the box, because it had definitely been USED. It had water or tea stains all over it, dried and not wiped off. But it was inexpensive and I bought it for work - I washed it off and it was fine.
Obvioulsy for the price, it's just going to be average, But it looks nice and works fine, no complaints so far.

I got the same tray

and I have to say for the price the quality is great. I was used to a bamboo tray that was probably half the size, but deeper, so it held a lot of liquid, but I love having all the room on it. I read a couple comments about it having a lacquer odor, but if I noticed anything it was very mild and after a few days of airing out was fine.
I also got a few of the small white gaiwans (100ml) which are also cheap but decent quality. Not as thin as I was expecting, but as I'm brewing a lot of darker oolongs and puerh lately it's not a bad thing.
I was going to pick up the $8.00 shu and a couple of cups but the tea seems to be sold out. Oh well.

As that particular shu is my avatar, I'm a huge fan. It's finally starting to lose it's fermentation taste. It's lighter fermentation gives it a stronger qi than normal for a shu, and should improve quite a bit with some age.
Can't beat it for the price. It's currently sold out at Nada's website as well, but he might be getting some back in stock as he's traveling across China again currently.

Check out this little stinker!

I got the other tea tray from Andao. And I'm not kidding when I call it a stinker, it reeks of turpentine! But the good news there is that the smell has dissipated some already and I expect that it will be gone entirely given time (most likely months of time).
Otherwise it's a nice tray. Three piece as pictured, and it even came with a cloth carrying bag that was not mentioned by Andao. Taller than it looks in the picture (about 4 inches) it holds 2 quarts of water, plenty of capacity.
Overall I like it except for the smell, which comes out if I put the lid on it. The smell is not noticeable while using it.
Given that Andao sold a tray that was obviously used (was it shrink wrapped like mine was?) and that mine has a smell, this will most likely be the only purchase I ever make from that shop.
No mine was not shrinkwrapped. But being that it was used, maybe it got aired out for me.

I have 2 or the large Gaiwans from them, but I bought those through my tea shop.phantom9309 wrote:I hope they don't disappoint me.![]()
Has anyone else bought anything from these guys? I'm kind of interested in getting a Gaiwan and some cups from them but I'm semi afraid. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised when my tray comes.

I have two of the small gaiwans, and they're perfect for me. Great size, not too thin (I don't love super-thin) and a presentation vessel, but that doesn't really mean much.
I did get 50g of their Rou Gui, which, as my first Rou Gui ever is pretty good. Not sure how great it is because it's the only one I've had, but I like it.
I am considering getting some of the small painted cups as well, I don't have any tasting sized cups really.[/i]
