Good TeaDay again. Welcome to our virtual TeaRoom. Please share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday, most responders by a narrow margin indicated they at least had a leaning towards "tradition" when it comes to tea. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. As the year's end approaches, reflect back and share what tea reigned supreme for you this past year? Please share some details with us about THE TEA that topped them all, the Tea of the Year.
As always, I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

OOPS! Sorry.
I usually do TeaDay in an admin forum of TeaChat called the Draft Room. Buttttt, I do have to remember to move it over, which I forgot to do last night.
FYI, if you are wondering why there are so many TeaDays with "bump posts," I was getting them back in order after experimenting leaving them open for extended periods.
Anyway, good TeaDay everyone.

This is actually a very tough call for me... I am so fickle.
My top favorites have been oolongs and Darjeelings, and to be honest, the Darjeelings have recently gotten much more attention from me than the oolongs. However, that being said, I am answering Oolong... because I think oolong was the biggest revelation of my tea journey so far... and because the Darjeelings I enjoy are far closer to oolong in nature than to black teas.
In my cup now is Glendale Handmade, and next will be some Adagio TKY which I might give some additional roasting to before brewing. Roasty sounds really good today.
Happy Tea Day to all. Oh, and Happy Birthday to *ME*.

My loyalty is all for oolong
But green tea is also essential to me. Besides, this winter I feel like rediscovering black tea. I used to use black tea just to fill the black or when I didn't have much time for other kinds of tea. This year I favor black tea more. And this year I had my first ever Kenya black tea

Happy Birthday Sarah! I actually got a birthday reminder from Adagio the other day letting me know. By the way, Adagio thinks you're a man.
If it's still in my email box, I'll send it to you. It made me chuckle.
It's a toss up between blacks and pu-erh. I was into both pretty heavy this last year.
Enjoyed some Citron Green from Adagio earlier...it's not as good as the apricot green, though.

Happy Birthday, Sarah! For me, I answered Oolong. Dong Ding, I think is the most likely. But in general, I'm liking oolong a bit more than other teas.
Now drinking some Kokeicha. Earlier today I've had Yongde Puerh, Dan Cong Milan Xiang, Qimen Red and a Ceylon.
Oh, I've bought my first matcha, Organic Kauro Supreme from O'Cha. Now waiting for my chasen to be delivered.

Gyokuro Gyoku Hou
Happy birthday Sarah!
Puerh probably reigned slightly more supreme than some other supreme tea ... Fujian and Taiwan oolongs, Chinese greens, and notably Japanese greens like this tasty gyokuro:
