Green, unfortunately. I found out the hard way that Japanese sencha gives me awful stomach aches and nausea. It tasted nice, though!

Worst: Some inexpensive Chinese greens that were just boring.

On the other hand, I have also had some wonderful Chinese and Japanese greens also this year, like this gyo sample courtesy of Chip and Olivierco .... Thanks, guys!

My worst was some flavored rooiboses that I got as samples from Dragonwater. They smelled so bad and strong that I couldn't even take a sip of them.

I finally got around to going through the box pass. Mom enjoyed helping me and even picked out a few teas that sounded good to her. We brewed a pot of a ginger peach tea that she really liked so it off to a good start for sampling.

Finished today with some hojicha. After I get up at some point tomorrow morning, I will probably will have some Chestnut tea to take with me while running Mom and Grandma to various stores and Mom's doctor's appointment.

Bad TKY was probably the worst thing I had. TKY gives me a headache.

Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon herbal blend hands down. I used the remaining tea bags from the box as air fresheners and stuck them in my closets and vehicles. :)

Some rancid Keemun I bought from the Deli around the corner from my house, I had two sips and it was down the sink! I don't think it was necessarily a bad tea, just passed it's best!

No tea yet but will probably have either sencha or Teaspring Lu An Gua Pian later.

The worst tea I've had this year? Gonna have to go with some green tea bags purchased at Big Lots to drink at work. Who needs flavor when you've got bitterness?

Currently drinking 2008 Wild Tree Raw Pu-erh of Dehong

I've either been lucky, or I've got a forgiving palette. I haven't run into a really bad tea yet.

I said herbals, though, because I've met a few varieties that smell as though they weren't meant to drink, but to stuff into a sack to keep away the undead.

I'm beginning to come down with some sort of cold. A little stuffed up and a dry throat (not really a sore-throat yet). Any recommendations on tea?

Teacuppa says that their Jade Tie Guan Yin "comforts the throat". My own recommendation would be to drink lots of good quality tea. My boyfriend has had two awful colds this autumn/winter but I've been spared. I think it's because of all the greens and oolongs I drink nowadays.

To funny and a very creative use of teas!

I tried a maitake muchroom/green tea blend that ended up in the trash. I certainly couldn't use that as an air freshener.

I'm leaning toward jasmine this morning......

Worst was a genmaicha, but it may have been my expectations. I'll be trying it again.

In the mug this morning: new, to me, Sri Lankan Pekoe, Lover's Leap estate whole leaf tea. So far I'm liking it very much.

There was a really foul silver needle sample that came my way. The dry leaf aroma was akin to moth repellent. Ick!

Starting today with some Yunnan Gold and following up with Sencha Premiere.

Have a great TeaDay!

My worst tea experience was a Dooars Black tea. No matter what I did, I couldn't get anything good out of it. There are some other green teas that I've disliked, but that could be due to inexperience.

Having some Ceylon Sonata this morning. It's so basic, it's hard to go wrong with it.

My worst tea was a pu-erh sample by Golden Moon Tea. It tasted quite like someone had swept out someone's outdoor storage shelter and made a tea of the dust and moldy leaves they'd swept up. If all pu-erhs taste like that, I cannot understand the craze. Please tell me all pu-erhs aren't like that.
