Welcome EVERYONE from far and near to TeaDay. Please join us and share what is in your cup today.
Drinking more tea was the big winner in beating holiday stress yesterday. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Since the holiday season seems to include higher alcohol consumption than other times of the year, I was wondering, do you ever mix tea with alcohol to create a TeaDrink? YES, NO, maybe? Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

My word...
I sincerely hope people arent really doing this. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy your occasional cocktail here and there, but teabooze??? Sacrilege! I dont even see the apeal honestly, its not like it will taste anything like the tea you place in it. Long Island Ice Tea is as far as I go. . .
I dont even want to think about making a sheng mojito, barf!

No, not me. Not my thing. I have had Long Island Iced Tea before, so I can't say no way, but no not for the holiday season.
Doesn't sound appealing to me, I like my tea just fine the way it is.

I think I will pass on the alcoholic tea.

I blame Vulture for me posting 'Maybe' as it would be an add-in or decent mix if done well but I'm not a drinker to begin with so it would be to heighten the flavor more than become a means of intoxication. Then again, I down a bottle of wine in a half an hour yet feel no ill effects so I doubt I'd be capable of becoming anywhere near drunk from adding a healthy or even hazardous amount of alcohol to a tea drink as the diluted amount atop of the water present would further add to my natural tolerances to intoxication. Cheers.
(Edit - wow, I'm shocked I forgot about this)
In my cup: lemon peel, steeped for a few long hours in a coffee urn. Tastes wonderful and not overly sour as one would assume of straight rind. Before was some herbal chai mimic in a teabag. Decent enough but the strength was a touch much for me head. Ah well, back to lemon.

I voted "no", but I love Irish coffee and if I came up with a tea based adult beverage I would certainly indulge on occassion!
Started the day with a cup of Lover's Leap pekoe. I've got "training" all day so might have to switch to bagged tea - a coworker and I swap teas and he just dropped off a Tazo organic chai and a tea blend -- so I'll probably give them a try.
