by Chip » Dec 24th, '08, 01:44

Welcome one and all to TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today.

Yesterday, the vast mjority of responders indicated they had chai at some point and many have made it as well. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Will your holiday be home or away? Will tea figure prominently regardless? Please share your holiday tea plans.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.

Home (when I'm not working) and prominently. I'm giving and receiving tea gifts.

Iced tea so far.

I plan to fill a big pot with an easily enjoyable tea, and keep it on the table all morning.

We'll be staying home. Tea will take a back seat -- well, not really, but I'll probably only have a couple of cups instead of my continuous stream! :D

At work this morning with Lover's Leap pekoe in the mug.

I am at home with my wife, our 2 month old daughter, and some good tea. Just the way I like it!

I will be home and away, but tea always figures in. I'm giving tea gifts, and will be taking my own tea, not to mention the talk somehow always turns to tea.

In my cup this morning one of my favorite Nilgiri; Tao of Tea Neela.

Have a nice day everyone!

I'll be home, and will get out the Christmas china, which includes a teapot, saucers, and cups.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

The pot holds 380 ml (13.5 oz) to the brim and the 2 cups each hold 140 ml (5 oz). I have wracked my brains about it, but I have no recollection where I bought it.

Sal, what is that pot made of? Is it clay? I love the pattern on it!

We will be at home with relatives coming over if they aren't snowed in. We have a couple of feet on the ground with more expected, a little bit more of a White Christmas than I'd like! I will probably be drinking tea throughout the day, but I don't know if I'll get anyone else to join me except my nine year-old daughter.

This morning I'm having some chilled Nilgiri Parkside Oolong, which was left over from yesterday and in the fridge.

Hi All!

We'll be at home and I'm expecting a big tea Christmas. Adagio's electric kettle is under the tree and I can't wait to try it out. I hand picked out and ordered a few things for my DH to give me. It makes it so much easier for him and I won't have to take back the sweater that looks like something his mom would wear. :D

I've had Jasmine green and Osthamanthus white so far today. I'm thinking the sencha premier is going to be in the next cup.

It's made of a rough feeling clay of some sort which looks and feels very in keeping with the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic.
I really wish I could remember where I found it!

I'll be home today and tomorrow and tea will defiantly be a part of it. I am getting some tea gifts as well.
