Sunday TeaRoom 12/28/08 New Years Resolutions?

by Chip » Dec 28th, '08, 01:40

Welcome everyone to our virtual TeaRoom. Please share what is in your cup today.

Yesterday most responders indicated they did not stress when they had too much tea on hand. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom Poll and discussion topic is a little off the tea topic. As the New Year approaches, I was wondering if you have considered New Year's Resolutions? Please share.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Not this year. Every other year failed, so I'm just going to enjoy this coming year.

I'm making a resolution NOT 2 make a resolution! I'm always pumped 2 start my resolution but within a few days I lose motivation so this year I'm not gonna even bother!

No resolutions. I make written out goals and work to achieve them. It always evolves through the year.

Adagio's Ali Shan in my cup this morning. The first time I made it I used Adagio's directions on the tin for 212 degrees and was the tea AWEFUL. Good thing I actually saved the tea. I tried it again at 180 degrees for 4 min and it's VERY NICE. I guess I do better when I don't listen to Adagios brewing directions. :?

Have a great day all.

This wasn't really a resolution, but I started practicing reading and writing Chinese characters (the 200 most common, supposedly).

Perhaps my horrible writing will entertain some or inspire others to do better.

My resolution is similar :D I want to practice more Spanish. I was fascinated with it, but then failed to do any study in the past half a year. Terrible

Another resolution (can I have more than one :P ) is "early to bed, early rise". This was one of my 2008 resolution. I did well for several months. But then holiday schedule messes up everything  So I will try to recover my "healthy" schedule soon :D

Yunnan Noir this morning, on its second steep. Love the little coiled up leaves. 8)

I always make one or two mental New year's resolutions. Sometimes I even carry through with them.

Hopefully I can stick to my resolution for longer than a week this year.
