Welcome to New Year's Eve TeaRoom TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today, regardless if it is tea, or other.
Yesterday in a lively discussion
, most responders thought a "TeaHouse" section of the forum for members only was at least maybe a good idea. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's New Years Eve TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic. What will you be drinking New Year's Eve? Will it be the spirit of tea, or other spirits? Please share your plans for tonight.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.
And please be careful if you are on the road tonight.

I'll probably be stuck with coffee. I'll have to work and it's always a busy night...

There should be some good champagne tonight, but I also plan on drinking tea tonight, as always.

I chose "something else" because there wasn't a choice for both.
I'm looking forward to trying some lovely chai that I just received from Geekgirl... but when the clock strikes for 2009, I'll probably also toast the New Year with something alcoholic. Not sure yet whether that will be champagne, port, or mulled wine!

New years is my holiday to cover this year. So I will be working two 12 hour shifts with lots of tea drinking. Don't think work would be too kind to drinking spirits

Not sure just yet... Will either get a bottle of wine and some pizza and stay in with my wife, or go to one of our favourite pubs to which we have been invited, the pub in question serves excellent quality cask and bottled beers and ciders!
Tea will be the order of the day though starting with... good ol Yunnan Gold!
Hope everyone has a great night whatever your up to!
Jack

As the genius Humphrey Bogart said:
"I never make plans that far ahead."
But, really. When the moment comes, I'll know. Supposedly, I have some choice tea on it's way, but whether it'll make it in time, I do not know. I have a bottle of Champagne(yes, real Champagne, even Vintage) that I've had for a year and some change, I may crack it open and poor a glass.
Seeing, I'm going to the trouble of buying cheese, crackers and summer sausage(traditional New Years fare), I imagine, it will be the Champagne.

Unless if my plans change, tea for me, most likely. Most of my friends are up in DC, and with work schedules and such, I probably won't be able to make it up there for NYE (i.e. today).
Not sure I'd want to be on the roads in this area (i.e. the Eastern seaboard) on NYE anyway. Even if NYE isn't the highest holiday for car accidents.
Enjoying some Adagio's Ali Shan this morning.

I feel like the only one up at 5:30 and getting ready for work.
Well I guess there won't be much traffic!
In my cup this morning Adagio Darjeeling #2.
Have a nice day everyone!

Family tradition is sparkling grape juice for New Year's celebration. It started when our kids were small.

Probably tea for me tonight.
Currently enjoying "Spring Wonder" Darjeeling from Tao of Tea. A nice reminder of spring on this very cold and snowy upstate morning.

I really don't know yet considering a majority of friends do not drink tea - so most likely they won't have tea available.
This morning (yawning), no tea yet. I'm actually craving my homemade matcha frapp.
