Google Chrome Browser
I downloaded the Google Crome browser yesterday and like it very much. However, it doesn't seem to be playing nice with the TeaChat text function when I post a note. The formatting gets all messed up. Anyone else notice this?
It's really the formatting of the text box that you're seeing, not the formatting itself. Chrome is having a problem redrawing the text. If you move it around, highlight / unhilight it will redraw it properly.
But yeah I've noticed that from the beginning of chrome.
Another thing to note is that in the chat window chrome will post your comment before you're necessarily done.

IE is more annoying than all of the little annoyances of every other major browser combined. I suggest that if you like Google Chrome, try out Mozilla Firefox. It's superior to Google Chrome (at this point anyway), and has a whole slew of great extensions that makes the browser great. If you for some reason don't like Firefox, then try out Opera which I consider as being the second greatest browser that's currently out.murrius wrote:Thanks. I"ll try the highlighting trick and go back to IE for TeaChat if it gets too annoying.
Internet Explorer (along with ALL other Microsoft software) is pure garbage that should not be used. An open-source alternative to Microsoft crapware is the way to go.
Sorry, I'm done.

When someone programs a web page for browsing, they program for all the internet, then add in some code so IE can even understand it.

I haven't even been able to try out chrome. No OS X support, so I don't use it... I guess I could boot into my Windows partition, but I like being able to use the same/similar things across both platforms. I don't really want to learn a new browser just for one OS that I rarely use. Well, that and Ad-block Plus + Firefox = love.

I've been using chrome as much as possible since day 1. I admit that it has it's issues, but without people to use it and work through it's problems it's not going to get any better about it. It's like a pair of new shoes. If you wear them your initial thought is that they aren't comfortable, and that your broken in shoes are more comfortable. Like chrome your new shoes won't feel right unless you break them in.
