Welcome to our virtual TeaRoom. Please share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday, black tea blew away all other teas as the tea that was first imbibed this year by responders. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic, how could I have forgotten. What was your fave tea of December? Please share details.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up!

My favorite tea for December was a Taiwan Oolong.
Yay.

IF you read my posts you would know I have been
drinking a lot of the Shan Shui '08 Baozhong.
And since shincha is out of season, I have three
large oolong orders on the way!

Definitely Japan for December ... bunches of meaty gyokuro ... so much so I was in gyokuro-induced ecstasy all month ... drinking it and not being able to verbalize my experience, dumbfounded. Maybe it was enlightenment ... meh.
But there were also a couple great sencha experiences, most notably Hachiju Hachiya, courtesy of Ed. Finally, I made a point of remembering to drink matcha more often ... yummm! Nothing like that Japanese tea to clear out the mental cobwebs, like clearing morning haze.

Salsero - I love seeing your pictures. Thanks for your daily sharing.
Monkey Picked Oolong again in my cup this morning. My DH got me some for my B'day.

I think my top tea for December would be Adagio's Yunnan Noir. I'm finishing up my sample this morning. I'll definitely be ordering more, but I have a few other blacks that I want to work my way through first.
Sal, thanks for the great photos! The plants in your pics always remind me of my childhood in Florida, so different from my current snowy environs.

Unsure what my favorite was, but chances are it came from a China.
This one is from the Republic of China - 90's aged harbor tea.

I had a black month in December, taking a break form the Japanese greens. I stumbled upon a very good second flush Darjeeling. Darjeeling Jungpana, had nice dried fruit and spicy aromas to go with the more usual woody notes in a 2nd flush Darjeeling. So it is India for me.
Back from my christmas vacation now and started with green again today.
Enjoying some Gyokuro Kame-Giru Shi now.
