Any of you guys planning on going to WTE this year? I'm considering going and getting STI certs just to put something on my resume that's kinda a WTF.

Man STI is such a scam. I talk to a tea shop owner who attends those classes and disagree with most of what I hear. From a puerh lesson where she was provided with garbage mini tuos, "It is no longer necessary to rinse any tea". All brewing instructions are also given Western style and no treatment of traditional methods is given. What a laugh.

Hm, that actually makes me wonder what goes on in those even more now. Sounds like most cert programs out there though.

BTW, I would much rather go to Taiwan or Japan than blow vacation time on Vegas, personally. I don't drink, I don't gamble, and I don't care what new flavors bunch of gringo tea vendors have invented in a lab this year. Maybe I should go find a picture of a horse's ass.

Ah yeah, but there's a massively different cost effect between going to Japan or Taiwan and WTE. I don't even know if I would bother flying. Vegas is a long drive from here, but i've done it before.

I guess it matters that I do drink and gamble. I think it would be interesting to see some of the vendors though like Den's.
