Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I really like the new look of the tins, it's great to be able to just glance over my sea of tins and pick out the one I want.
However the earl grey is a little oily and doesn't go quite well with the new lids-when I got mine it looked like condensation had formed on the inside.
I'm not bothered by this in the least though since that lid will really stick out and it is the first thing I reach for in the morning, just giving you a head's up for perhaps a person not informed on the bergemot oil in this tea.
I think the last certificate redemption's note sums it up-" congrats, the good news is you've redeemed xx pts., the bad news-you are officially addicted to our teas"
I couldn't agree more

keep up the good work guys.

Thanks for the feedback. The earl grey tea is packaged inside a special tin that is designed to stand up to the bergamot. Perhaps we accidentally packed your batch in the wrong tin
And yes, the stacking feature on the new tins has put smiles on a few people's faces here.

Thanks for the reply, I just noticed you worded it with "withstand" so I went and checked my lid and the bergamot has actually eaten or pitted the plastic lid. Any chance this will affect the tea at all?

I must order more tea soon! I need to see these new tins.
I guess I ought to finish cataloging what I have so I know what I still need.

No need to worry, you and your earl grey are safe. Bergamot is a citrus fruit and thus has a high acidity. You would get a similar effect if you smeared lemon juice on untreated plastic.

This is not good news! Being the anal person I am, I am now going to have to reorder all of my teas!

Actually, I very much dislike the appearance of the new tins. Very much. It's actually almost unreasonable how much i dislike looking at them. The stacking feature is, on the other hand, quite nice. Oh well. Too bad for me I guess.

Joe-
Thanks for the note.
Any aspect in particular that brings about this unreasonable hatred?

I find the silver ones to be much more aesthetically pleasing. The white looks unappetizing. When i go seraching to find a tea that I'm in the mood for, I see the new tins, and I don't really even give them a glance, and i find myself drinking more tea out of my older tins.
I also don't like the clear tops, although I can their good points, like seeing how much tea you have left, etc. They always seem to have some residue on them. Perhaps residue isn't the right word, but the tops are always cloudy which again makes the container, and thus the tea, that much less aethsthetically appealing.
Basically, in summation, I just don't find a white tin with a cloudy cover attractive and I like having every part of drinking tea (preparation included) to be special, and set apart from the rest of the day, and the tins take me somewhat out of it. I hope I don't sound stupid, because that's the way I'm sounding to myself right now.

Actually, no you don't sound stupid because that was the way I felt when I took them out of the box this morning. This was the first order I placed for larger sizes and most were in new tins but one was the older style. I like the stack feature but that is about it. The white looks cheap and plastic like- I even like the old label better with the vibrant tea cups and the little description of the tea. Silly probably, I still love the tea in them and think Adagio's is great but I would really like the old tins for my teas.

I would like the silver ones with the stackable lids, clear would be fine. I think the new ones don't hold up as well either. I had dents in the two I got and there shouldn't have been any reason for it since they were packed really well.

Not silly at all, either of you!
We always appreciate the feedback and will work hard to come up with something!

Thanks. And I agree that stackable silver ones would be a good way to go.
