I think it is going to be a great TeaDay with lots of TEA! So ... please share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday the top response were greens in the most appealing "dry leaf." you can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic continues our tea leaf gazing topics, thanks to Chamekke. Today, "What do you think is the most attractive tea to look at when it is wet/used?" Please share some of the 4 W's about your choice including some specifics.
I will be enjoying sharing the TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I have to go with a high grade Jap. gyokuro or sencha......there are very few greens.....that have such a vibrant green color after brewed.....the Chinese green taiping hou kui has a nice color and look before it is brewed but afterwards it really loses a lot of color...I think gyokuros and senchas (good ones at least) have an incredibly vibrant and ultra natural look that I find quite beautiful.

Generally, I am as ambivalent about this one as about everything else: I even think wet sencha leaves are beautiful despite recent comparisons of them to certain feline, oral excreta.
But this week, I have to vote oolong because of this lovely Dan Cong I have been enjoying:
(click the soaking leaves for a closer inspection)
Everything about these, from the color to the size and shape to the vein structure, is stunning!

I voted other- I find oolong the most fascinating- from those very tiny balls to full leaf or even two or three leaves still with stem but I also love the bright green of the Japanese leaves (also thanking goodness that I have a dog
) but mostly other because..
...I just ordered my first two Japanese teapots and think that any leaf in them will be the most attractive leaf.

Definitely oolongs here... and it looks like a blow-out for oolongs so far on the poll!
Trying a shu this morning, which never looks pretty after brewing. Well, unless if you like the appearance of mulch, which may be so if you love to garden. This one is a 2000 Zhong Cha, Simao Gu. Unfortunately I don't have any information on it other than the name. . .
